12B. Re-thinking

During this weeks reading a few INQ questions came through my mind. Some of the questions that I came up with were
  • How important is a Liberal Arts Education
  • Why is it that many people look at this degree as a throw away
Through this weeks reading I definitely was second guessing weather or not if I should continue a to stay at Southern and receive a Liberal Arts and Social Work degree or go to a trait school and start my practice as a Social Worker. These thoughts were consistently running through my mind. Reason is because part of me didnt want to continue learning things that I may not be interest in because that’s not what I was paying for. I just want to start learning things I Social Work because that’s what I was paying. And also I was having self doubt on whether or not I can do it. These were the reason why I was having these thoughts
But after reading the articles and starting thinking on how beneficial a liberal arts education is made me believe that I was at the right place. Reason is because what if through the years I start to feel that I don’t want to become a Social Worker by taking classes at Southern I could be able to change my major to whatever interested me in my courses. That’s I why I was re-thinking my thinking and was glad that I chose to attend a school that offer both a liberal education as well an education that would let me practice my field.
