Even though it’s my
second week of college, I notice that I find myself to be very shy and find it
to be very awkward to talk to new people. It’s something that doesn’t come to
me naturally like other people. I know it’s something that I have to work on. But
I personally find it sort of difficult because I just don’t like to start thing
from the beginning. Reason I say this is because phrase one if you want to call
it, you always feel awkward and uncomfortable with that person and I just don’t
like that feeling.
But since I’m in
college I know that it’s very important to make connections with people and to
make friends that would support you on anything and in order to gain some you
have to be very outgoing and able to spark up a conversation with people and it’s
something that I have to work on. One thing that I know that I have to change
is that I have to let me guard down, be more open about things and how people
may approach me with things. I know that’s most likely the biggest thing that I
struggle with. Another thing that I’m going to work on is going to events that
the school is hosting like football games, dances, or other things that would
bring people together. Even though I am commuter I will try and make sure that I
would get involved because not only will it make me more open to people it will
also look good on a job application, and that’s always a great when it can
benefit on a possible career.
Even though it’s my
first semester of college I hope that I will come more comfortable with others
and be able to feel comfortable with others.
